  Education: Seminars

Our education seminars cover a wide variety of topics and provide valuable insight and expertise. Listed below are just a few of our offerings. We can also develop a seminar specifically for you organization. For information, contact 1-800-634-2016 or 1-610-768-4120 or by e-mail at DirectorConsulting@strohlsystems.com .

BCP 101 provides attendees with a thorough understanding of business continuity planning, a review of the business continuity planning process and advice on how to obtain and maintain senior management commitment. Participants also examine the regulations, mandates and standards related to continuity of operations across all business and service lines.

Plan Testing reviews the options for testing your plans, including structured walk-through, tactical exercise, technical test, full-scale exercise and call tree test. We’ll give you the information to help you decide which to use when.

Identifying Your Organization’s Vulnerabilities teaches you how to identify areas that must be considered in an impact assessment. Participants examine risk assessment, compliance assessment, hazard analysis, terrorism assessment and quantitative risk assessment. Participants also review the vulnerability studies that should be implemented in order to ensure organization-wide recovery and continuity success.

Performing a Business Impact Analysis is an in-depth training session on business impact analysis (BIA). This session includes how to identify and design the BIA scope, how to identify recipients and encourage participation in the BIA, how to design questions to obtain the critical information you seek and an overview of sample questions. Also covered are data collection, analyzing the survey and reporting results to management.

Prevention and Mitigation Response Strategies discusses disaster avoidance and mitigation measures that assist an organization in preventing or reducing the damage normally associated with man-made, natural, or technological disasters. Participants examine the identification of response measures, including crisis management and crisis communications planning.

Building BCP Teams examines your continuity organization by establishing who will manage the process, including what teams you need in place and defining team members and their tasks.

"I chose the BIA Professional package because of its ability to assist us with creating a business impact analysis for our company. I found it to be easy to use and customize for our business needs."
